Boston, Here I Come!

While much of the world is watching the Royal Wedding, I will be returning to my home state of Massachusetts to attend my first-ever Boston Comic Con! I am very excited for the show and meeting fans and fellow creators! As usual, I will have plenty of copies of the Tiki Zombie Special Edition and The Untold Origins of Invisible Scarlet O'Neil at my table in Artist Alley. I will also be recording segments for the ESO podcast.

And as a special treat, I'll be bringing posters of the four main characters of Tiki Zombie available for the first time ever!

The four individual 11" x 17" prints featuring artwork by Peter Cutler and colors by Kathryn Parker will be on sale for a mere $5 each. In addition to the single character posters, I'll also have a never-before-seen group shot of all four characters for the same low price. Buy all five posters for the discounted price of $20! Each sale also includes a free issue of the Tiki Zombie Special Edition signed by myself and artist Peter Cutler.

So come on by my table and say, "Howdy!" I look forward to meeting y'all and thank you so much for the support!

Friday Night Videos

Now that Lady Gaga has approved Weird Al's latest parody, I want to see a real video!

Marvel's take on the "Little Vader" spot might just be better than the original!

Trollhunter looks like a fun film from Norway shot vérité style.

Love the tag line, "Not every idea is a winner."

Take a look at a preview of the upcoming Boston Comic Con, where I will be next weekend!

Elisabeth Sladen 1948 - 2011

It was quite a shock today to learn of the passing of actress Elisabeth Sladen at the all-too-young age of 63. Like many Doctor Who fanboys of the 70's and 80's, she caught my attention as journalist Sarah Jane Smith. I am not at all ashamed to admit that while I lusted after Louise Jameson as Leela, I fell in love with Sarah Jane. And when she appeared with the tenth Doctor in 2006, I fell in love with her all over again. I've heard many say that she was just as nice a person as her character and I regret that I was not able to thank her personally for the years of entertainment. To say she will be missed is a huge understatement. I'm very pleased that we will be recording a tribute to her on next week's ESO podcast. I am eager to watch her adventures again.

Friday Night Videos

Kinda busy tonight, so not too many videos. I'm not sure how I missed Adam WarRock perform at Galactic Quest a couple of months ago. He's as talented a rapper as he is a comic fanboy.

I was skeptical about this prequel to Planet of the Apes, but this trailer has me curious...

Finally, a U.S. release for The Devil's Concubine! I have been looking forward to reading this book out of Denmark.

Friday Night Videos

I recently discovered that before she was The Doctor's latest companion, Karen Gillan was a featured player on The Kevin Bishop Show. Here's a clip of her parodying Katy Perry.

The Green Lantern footage released at Wondercon makes me feel much better about this project!

Game of Thrones looks like the "best new show that I will not be able to watch because I don't have HBO."

I think Brandon Routh is trying to make the Guinness Book of World Records for appearing in the most movie adaptations from comic books.

Just when I thought I'd seen every angle of the Star Wars franchise...

Writer Peter David contributed to the new video game where Spider-Man meets his future.

Honestly, when I first heard about The Governator project from Arnold Schwarzenegger and Stan Lee, I thought it was an April Fool's prank.

Two very cool trailers for the Thor & Loki: Blood Brothers animated comic.

If you love spooky humor, you should really check out Lenore!

Rob Zombie promises to bring his biggest stage show ever at the Download Festival in England. Wish I could be there!

The Big Bang could be one of the coolest movies of the year. Or not.

My anticipation of Doctor Who series 6 is much greater with the release of this trailer as well as the prequel scene. April 23rd cannot be here soon enough!

Another thing to look forward to this month, the premiere of "Burn Notice: The Fall of Sam Axe" starring Bruce Campbell and directed by Jeffrey Donovan!

Watch Flaming C take on Klarion the Witch Boy!

Check out the trailer for this summer's Marvel event, Fear Itself!
