ESO Podcast - Episode 176

The ESO crew are not what they seem, but they do enjoy a damn good cup of coffee and a slice of cherry pie. Mike, Mike, Jennifer, and the award-winning author Bobby Nash are joined by Josh Wilson to discuss the ground breaking 90′s series. We wanted to put the Log Lady’s wooden friend in The Geek Seat, but it turns out its answers were not able to be recorded, so we settled for author Gerald Welch, who found the experience only slightly less painful than a match with Chiun. We also make time for the usual Rants, Raves, Khan Report, and Shout Outs.

Instead of a Shout Out this week, I would like to reach out to anyone who is feeling depressed or even a little bit suicidal. The death of Lee Thompson Young this week was all too tragic and we may never understand what led him to such extreme action. I have been down many times in my life, but have always had tremendous support from family and friends. If anyone reading this is in need of such support, there are options. Check out the WebMD Depression Center and if need be, contact the Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255. They won't be able to solve all your problems, but they can help you take the first step in finding alternative solutions.

Next week, the ESO crew heads back to the theater to review Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg, and Nick Frost’s Cornetto trilogy of movies; Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, and The World's End. We’ll take a look at all three films, which are returning to theaters on August 22nd.

ESO wants to hear from you! What's your favorite Cornetto flavor? Have you recently visited a cool convention or planning one? Drop us a line at www.esopodcast.com, the ESO Facebook Group, email us at esopodcast@gmail.com, or call us at 404-963-9057 with your comments. We just might air your comments on the show!
